#4RHI

The hashtag #4RHI is the acronym I formed for our company, Forerunner Home Improvement LLC. There is a bit of background to the creation of #4RHI, and probably not what you might expect…

If you’re still reading, that means you’re interested, and I’ll make it worthwhile at the end.

During my career as an engineer, project manager and programmer, I spent a lot of time outdoors in my Toyota 4Runner. Everywhere I went, I was with my best friend, a Miniature Pinscher named Colin (may you rest in peace). Friends, colleagues, and clients would recognize me just from the truck alone. This along with over a decade in the offroad world,  it was a must to incorporate my background into the business name. And that’s how the name Forerunner Home Improvement LLC was born. Realizing the name was long, I knew an abbreviation was needed immediately.

The 4HI refers to the off road drivetrain setting (4Hi/4Lo), while also paying homage to the Toyota 4Runner (4R). All put together, it shortens the business name into a powerful acronym here to stay for generations to come.
